Various styles of ballet tights available

Ballet tights are a necessary part of any dancer's attire. For female dancers, ballet tights are usually worn underneath the body suit or leotard. Depending on the level of the dancer or the dance school's regulations, a specific type or style of tights may be required.

There is a variety of styles or brands of ballet tights available today. Some are made with different amounts of nylon and Lycra. Other differences may include various shades of pink, seams down the back of the leg or even tights with opening made into the foot of the toe. These openings allow a dancer to have easy access to their feet should they need to apply tape or band-aids to the toes.

Once dancers reach a higher level of training or become professional, the acceptable dance attire usually becomes more of an individual preference of style and comfort. Consult our professionals for more ideas about ballet tights or other dance accessories.
